Sometimes we hide...if you ask us where....we just go Void, or Kū (空) Air, or Fū (風) Fire, or Ka (火) Qater, or Sui (水) Earth, or Chi (地)

We are outcasts in exile A people without a land Nomads crazed by miles of roads On a mission without a plan Like a jumping gun in battle A hot LZ outside Da Nang Crossing the DMZ ditches Forgot that the safety is on We are wires around the perimeter A fire in the hole A Huey chopper taking off Rising slow and flying low Like a warm wind on a country road Breezes through our hands Dancing down the summer sun After the show following the band Like a pavement pounding jackhammer A steamroller on cloud nine A detour sign men up ahead In a work-zone they double the fine And the breeze that we blew in on A double dose at first seemed light It seemed to be so reasonable We knew it would treat us right And it wove us through the air And it warped us past the moon On wings stretched thin with silken threads Spun by ten thousand hands on ten thousand looms. copyright FlowPoetry 2020

Did It Really Have To Come To This? And Mother Earth is getting stronger She might survive a little longer If she can simply get us humans out the way It's a question of survival And every germ's a rival When it comes to who gets to eat another day The Earth is run by fungus And it's living right here among us We're just matter taking space until decay And Mother Earth is getting stronger She might survive a little longer If she can simply get us humans out the way Did it really have to come to this? When we can’t even meet to kiss And I curl up sleeping alone upon the floor And did it really have to come to that? All my friends are wearing top-hats And we're howling and cursing like what for And the time is getting nearer And soon it will be clearer And this plague just keeps going from door to door And the government got behind They were skimming all the time And now we duck for cover as they gore And people are scared to go out So they open windows and they shout And summer’s not much fun anymore This virus just won't quit It doesn’t give a shit And it grows by doubling every hour And the trees are lightly laughing While pink dolphins are a splashing They've taken the canals of Venice back so they say And Mother Earth is getting stronger She might survive a little longer If she can simply get us humans out the way It's a question of survival And every germ's a rival When it comes to who gets to eat another day The Earth is run by fungus And they're living right here among us We're just matter taking space until decay And Mother Earth is getting stronger She might survive a little longer If she can simply get us humans out the way copyright FlowPoetry 2020

Dowse You’d better hope that you’re getting back Running out the door and you never know You’d better hope that you’ve left some slack Just so you know, It’s not how you go, But how you flow I flowed on diamond cowboy spurs through fields of fern and dew I flowed through walls of cannonballs and paths unknown but to few I flowed into a silver dream awake and laughing too I flowed up to the fountain head and kept on walking through Flow like ghosts on pirate ships and sunken treasure gleam Flow like liquid sunlight beams reflected off of leaves of silver-green Flow through foggy waste of war dodging bullets aimed at hearts Flow continuously open-eyed with faith in a crystalline start Flow through rivers ripe with rain that swell and course along the plain Flow through ghetto lots at dusk through Harlem jazz and old car rust Flow through Ching and Ming and Shang through Northern Wei both Ying and Yang Flow through arroyos of smoke and dust through fields of musket balls that rust and wave spiderwebs away if you must. Pound your foot and Preach to the sky. Raise one finger, Point and fly. Stomp through the fields Of Dylan Thomas. Dig in your war chest, Make a promise. Light the night with Starry dew. Scat a song at saxophone Speed: Flukely flow and roll them bones, Do you think its chance we’re all here together? Loosely slipped not tightly lipped Spring is a newborn bird's first feather. copyright FlowPoetry 2020
